Welcome to the official site of Sugar Bert Boxing
Academy. We sincerely appreciate you taking the time
to visit. Dreams do come true. But make no mistake,
it takes work, sweat, perseverance and proper
guidance to have success in the very competitive
boxing world. Bert Wells aka “Sugar Bert”
understands this better than most. You see, as a
youth he dreamed like many other youths that he
could be one the top fighters in the business. When
Bert was fifteen he won the Florida Golden Glove
Championship in the 130lb division. Since then Sugar
Bert has won many other awards and titles. Bert is
now retired, but has decided to give a little
something back to the great sport boxing that he
loved so much. Yes indeed folks, Sugar Bert Boxing
Academy in conjunction with the Paul Murphy Boxing
Club is making a difference in the boxing community.
Several world class, title holders have trained at
the Paul Murphy Boxing Club.
Vision Statement: We take the youth of today and
show them how to achieve their dream of becoming a
winner...a world class boxer....and a positive,
productive person with the skills to make an impact
in the community.
Our Mission and Goal: Provide a boxing gym that
teaches our youth discipline and respect. We believe
that the right environment combined with structure
can make a difference in the lives of boys and girl
who come through our facility.
